As part of a series of investments the District of Columbia is making in early childhood under the direction of Mayor Muriel Bowser, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education — one of our vital partners — has developed and launched MyChildCareDC.org — a new one-stop online resource that helps families find and compare child care options in the District of Columbia. With information from more than 460 child development centers and home-based providers, this website empowers parents and guardians to strategically select quality care for their young children and easily filter facilities by address, zip code, operating hours, type of facility, age range of students served, quality improvement ratings (gold, silver and bronze) and more.
