Listening to Leaders:
Insights from the SDA Education Leadership Survey

In spring 2023, the foundation surveyed Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) education leaders across the North American Division, both within schools and in other administration roles. The survey was designed to:

• Collect comprehensive systemwide data about education leaders’ most pressing challenges and priorities, as well as their work-life quality, training and development needs, perceptions of equity and decision-making, and views on critical issues facing the SDA education system.
• Gain insights to help us understand how we can best partner with the Adventist education system to build a talent management strategy that strengthens its K-12 leadership pipeline. 

The analysis of the comprehensive survey findings, along with identified opportunities for improvement, offers valuable insights for all stakeholders connected to Adventist education — from education leaders at all levels, SDA leaders beyond education, and to other stakeholders and supporters of the SDA education system.
